When the electricity went out my instruments were in a very humid and hot environment and 7 of my cello bridges warped. I was able to get the mold off of the bridges and wash the bags but the bridges are in need of replacement. We could use 7 cello bridges please.

(3) 3/4 bridges and (4) full size bridges.

Several students lost their Essential Elements book 1 during the hurricane if anyone has any extra they certainly do not have to be new. Violin and viola

My program is in desperate need of cellos. Many of my students rent from the stores usually but this year, a lot of them had damage done to their homes and are unable to continue making payments to the store for an instrument and need to rent our school instruments. I do not have the cellos needed to support the amount of students that are in need of a cello. I would be very grateful for at least 3 more cellos in the 3/4 size or 1/2 size.

We are in need of:
- Folding music stands
- Extra shoulder rests, rosin, endpin anchors, clip-on tuners, etc.
- Monetary donations to help defray the cost of student t-shirts and field trips

My students are in need of:
- Violins, violas, and cellos in any size/condition to loan out to students who can no longer afford to rent or buy an instrument because of Harvey recovery
- Basses (1/4 or 1/2 size) to loan out to students and to use in class
- Extra shoulder rests, rosin, endpin anchors, clip-on tuners, etc.

NEW 10/06/17 - There are an additional 5 students who cannot pay their $50 orchestra fee due to Harvey. These fees pay t-shirts, binders, clinicians, etc.

UPDATE 10/06/17 - UNfilled - Concert attire- uniforms HAVE BEEN ORDERED BUT THESE FUNDS WERE NOT COLLECTED. These families are homeless as they have been displaced. Please help. .... original post: My students pay for their own, there are 6 boys and 14 girls who need uniforms and whose homes flooded. (Boys -approx $60 black long sleeve shirt and black tux pants; Girls- approx $65 "harmonique dress')

The demand for cellos & basses for student use exceeds the supply on hand (esp. 3/4 cellos) on my campus. Many of our students are unable to afford rental of these larger instruments through the local music vendors this year. 2 additional 3/4 cellos would greatly assist our program.

Southmore Intermediate is a part of Pasadena ISD. This district was hit hard by the recent storm. Buildings are being considered for relocation and facilities are currently getting much needed repairs. With all of the costs and attention to facilities and assets, I am afraid that our focus will shift from the arts. The burden of instrument replacement, when an instrument gets too old will be on the shoulders of the individual schools to replace. This will be difficult to bear because so much of our district money will be going to facility maintenance and repair. Our school provides most of the instruments our students need. It is rare that a student will acquire a quality instrument on their own. It is important for a school like Southmore to keep and maintain a good working inventory.

Currently our cellos are on a partially unused bass rack or in various corners.

Our district consist of 287 schools with 240 music teachers. We are in need of:
Wind instruments
String instruments
Sheet music
Elementary percussive instruments, recorders, boom whackers and musical manipulatives

We did not lose and performance attire, but we have several schools that do not have any at all. We also have schools that are severely lacking. Any help would be appreciated. Feel free to contact me at any time!
