highlighters & markers - all kinds
nails & wood screws - any variety welcome
NOTE: We can manage and make do with what we have - but these items are always helpful - thank you for your efforts...........

School Supplies

Pens, pencils, filler paper, and computer paper are always welcome, but I do believe our school district is making a concerted effort to supply all these. Clipboards would be very welcome, as I sometimes work with students away from any desk tops.

Porter High School, part of New Caney ISD had a water leak due to the storm that damaged the stage floor, leaving the floor warped and stained. The water leak also left water stains on the ceiling above the stage in front of the proscenium.

Equipment

The flood destroyed our auditorium and will not be functional for at least this year. The costumes were untouched. However, our Light gels were all lost in the flood, Prop closet had two feet of water, our costume shop lost almost all of its fabric, and we currently have no stage makeup due to the events of Harvey.

Stage Makeup is where our department got hit the hardest because all of it was below the two feet line and was destroyed.

The props vary in what we lost from Lamps, chests, suit cases, rugs, and miscellaneous props.

We also lost several sofas, dining tables, and antique looking desks.

We have been displaced from the school until at least January, but we are still hoping to continue our season and perform in UIL.

Students kept movement shoes in the girls dressing room that were completely lost. I am not sure on sizes but they were simply jazz shoes.

Performance Attire

My students are unable to purchase the make-up items needed to participate in our annual Mime/Pantomime presentations, thus they need the following items:
* Clown make-up in colors white, black, and red
* Make-up sponges to apply the make-up
* Make-up remover such as cold cream or wipes
My students absolutely love to participate in this capstone project that we do every year so any assistance toward the purchase of make-up supplies is appreciated. Thanks!

Equipment Accessories Performance Attire

We are in need of costume and prop room organization items. Such as cubby’s, shelves, hanging racks, shoe organizer. Various makeup items; blush, base, eyeliner and lipstick. We are in need of paint and paint brushes to replenish what was lost, glue guns and glue sticks. Rehearsal attire; black leotards for men and women. We also lost all of our power tools to build sets.
